Default Re: 15 month appointment today

don't get me started!! lol j/k. If you want a infant seat, most people do then I would go with a Snugright are suppose to be good, stay away from Gracco, i have heard they are not very good. Check out www.carseatdata.org/, it will tell you what car seats will fit best in your car. Not all fit well in each car. I only used my infant seat for about 4 months, then moved to a convertable car seat. She hated the infant seats, would scream and arch her back every time we tried to put her in one. I don't know much about infant seats, so.. thats all I got, but there is plenty of info out there on it. Check out consumer reports too.
As far as convertable seats go, Britax are the best by far. They are pricey though. They have continually been given high reagards as far as safety is concerned. Nichole is in a Britax Marathon it goes up to 33lbs rear facing and up to 60lbs front. If you need a less expensive model, I have heard good things about Cosco seats. Things you want to look for when getting a seat is 1st- it fits your car, check to make sure before buying. Babies r us will allow you to take the models out to your car to install them 2 don't get an overhead sheild one (not that you have to worry about that with an infant they are just in front facing seats) they can cause serious head injury in an accident, they are trying to pass a law to outlaw them. 3. 5 point harness is the safest no matter what. I would advise not getting anything but a 5 point harness. EPS foam is also a great safety feature. Let me know if there are any seats yo are looking at and I can research them for you.
