We haven't had to broach the curfew issue yet.

Typically, all of my kids have to be home by 6pm on school nights, and 7pm other nights.

If they have an event to go to - then we work out a time at that point. My DS (14) and his friends are still going to chaperoned events, so I haven't been concerned about the hour.
