Ian, our 20 Y/O, just sent us his first two letters from Parris Island.
The first one had him in good spirits and said that boot wasn't as bad as he was anticipating.
The second, however, said that he sustained a stress fracture in his right leg and his training has been suspended for 4-6 weeks. He didn't mention how he got it, but in his letter he said that he was going to be OK and was loooking forward to continuing.
That is it for now....wish I could visit him, but...that isn't happening. Part of me wants to march in there and take him home, but.........
This is kinda driving me crazy!! It's the first time he's ever been injured and His Mom or I weren't there to help him...guess that is part of letting them grow-up though
