I would also agree with Hannah's Mom - get a tutor. It's amazing how well a kid can learn one-on-one vs. the class setting. A tutor will go over it until she gets it, while a teacher will go over it and just move on to the next subject. Also read a couple of books on how to study...learn what techniques work best for your kid.

Make the tutoring sessions mandatory also...no option to skip, so she has no alternative but to learn the lessons.

I don't think removing TV priviliges is going to change her study habits at all. She will just distract herself with something else. She needs to learn to like studying and how to streamline it.
