I haven't had to deal with this situation as a parent but I did go through it as a child. My parents divorced when I was young and I lived with my mom because my dad was never around. I eventually moved in with my grandparents. Keep the lines of communication open... even if she doesn't show that she cares you are showing her that you are there for her. At her age there really isn't a whole lot you can do since the courts would allow her to choose where she wants to live. So it seems right now the only thing you can do is preserve your relationship and not fight about where she lives. |
