I am glad my daughter doesn't listen to hip-hip. I'll listen to just about anything, but hip-hop is something I can't connect with.
What I find interesting about hip-hop is that the music is primarily created by afro-Americans, but primarily consumed by caucasians Americans. The history of rock also gets is roots from the black culture. Clearly we can see who is the forerunners when it comes to music.
