Here you have to have so many credits in child education all of which you can take online but have to go somewhere to take the final test. You have to have this within 90 days of hire. CPR is also asked within a certain amount of time along with a TB test. However, this is not needed before they work most of the time. SOME have workers fingerprinted but not back ground checked and also do not require drug testing.
Daycare "teachers" are usually the one's with a certain number of hours of classes. They are no way educationally trained on proper child behavior or the different types of children.
Here you can take classes of your own choice for extra teaching courses. It doesn't make your pay any higher.
I think they only pay day care workers minimum wage. Not a respected job here honestly. There is a high turn over in "teachers" |
