Well Celiac and an Allergy to Gluten are VERY similar. It's the same thing except that with Celiac you truly CAN'T eat ANY Gluten. With the allergy you'll just experience REALLY bad discomfort. And in large amounts it could be very dangerous. But Celiac is a more severe situation. I'm sorry about your neighbor though!
