It won't cure an infection, but one thing that usually is very helpful with sinus problems is using a Neti pot to irrigate the sinuses. You can either buy something like SinuCleanse or make your own, but when you make your own you need to find a way to pour it. It feels really weird and you may need to adjust the salinity for your comfort, but it flushes out any bad things that may be there and hydrates the lining of the sinuses. It also takes a bit of practice: the first time I did it I thought I was going to drown myself...like do-it-yourself waterboarding. But it helped quite a bit, and I figured out how to do it the next time.
