I had to have shots three times a week and was on prescription benedryl and dimetap when I was young.
The worse thing I remember about the shot was that my step mom gave them to me and would sometimes get a blunt needle out to the bulk needles she bought.
I don't really remember any side effects then, but these days benedryl will knock me on my butt.
