From what I noticed about my girls, Alenya didn't really play and notice other kids till 2 or 3. With Kaitlyn though, she's 8 months, and she loves to giggle at her sister and they have their little babble that they do together. But I think that over one is a good time to have them have play dates, just to see other kids and see how well they interact.
