I think that by 7 a child should be wiping himself, however, I have to admit I was one of the Mom's that let this go on too long. Part of if was just giving in to my son's begging, and part of it was that he didn't always do a good job himself.
Finally, my husband stepped in and put a stop to it. He took on the job of giving my son detailed instructions on how to wipe, and eventually my son stopped asking for Mom to wipe. |
