Default Re: Babies/Kids getting sick

Wow that's crazy. It's funny you'd say that because my mom just found out something similar about my sister. Unfortunately Nikki is 17 years old and just NOW they figured out why she's been sick so bad and had constant fevers so many times in her life. I mean, I could go on for EVER telling you how many times she's been sick, in the hospital, missing school, and on and on. I always wondered why she was always sick and why her fevers got so bad. She's had tonsilitis several times too and my mom has tried again and again to get her tonsils taken out (but just for that reason) and recently the doctor told her she's got something called Marshall's Syndrome (aka periodic fevers something or another, don't mix it up with the genetic disorder). I don't know all the details but basically her tonsils are making her sick among other things and she's scheduled to get them out as soon as possible. I just think it's such an awful waste that they could have done that a long time ago and improved the quality of her life when she was much younger if they were only looking hard enough.

That's so weird though, isn't it?
