I'm not sure exactly how old 6th grade is in the US, as our schooling system is different, but I think its around 11-12?? I remember at that age, I was not allowed to be out without parental supervision, let alone in a park, and the world was a much safer place back then. I can understand you wanting to let her see her friends, but I can almost guarentee that these boys are paying her attention for another reason other than they want to be her friend.

However, you know this area much better than me obviously and I'm sure can judge whether it is safe for your daughter to be there alone.
