 Child advancement by age in daycare | |
Question regarding child not advancing with others in daycare.
Our daughter has her birthday in September and daycare moves the kids to the next room once they reach 4 if before August 11. So, my daughter did not advance this year and is now 4 in the '3 Year Old Room. We learned this morning that she may not move until next fall, she will then be 5 and the majority of the class will be 4 and 3.
My concern is that she will not advance at the rate she should because she will still be doing activities for 3-4 year olds and socializing with kids up to 2 years younger than her.
Am I overreacting?
