I think each family should do what's right for their situation. That said, I've been a SAHM since becoming a mother 11 yrs. ago. I have always wanted to be a SAHM. DH and I planned on it long before TTC. We were married 8 yrs. before starting a family, and both of us worked FT and saved, planned and prepared to drop down to one salary so that I could stay home to raise our children. Now that both kids are in school I often get asked when I'm going to return to work. I can't answer that question. LOL! I worked hard to be able to stay home and want to enjoy it for as long as I'm able!
