I think she still probably loves you. Acting disrespectful has NOTHING to do with how much a child loves her parent-- no matter how disrespectful. She probably feels that if she backed down and actually turned around, she'd be admitting she was wrong, and most people aren't willing to do that. Maybe joining the military is her way of being able to change her life without admitting error. After all, if she truly just wanted to be a problem for the rest of her life, she would not sign herself up for such hard work. Let her know that she can always return home, so she doesn’t feel like she has to cut ties with you. |
