I am a SAHM and I love it. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. But then again we have 4 daughters so I don't think I could afford to be anywhere else, lol. I do babysit kids at home, which gets interesting at times. At one time I did work outside the home because I had no other choice. Now I have this option and it works for us. I do however have a father in law that would rather pay us for me to stay at home with the girls than put them in a daycare. I say whatever works for your type of situation, you have to do what you got to do.
