Thats a tough one. I also have grandparents that I don't want to have a ton of personal contact with my daughter. (my in-laws). My father in law physically abused his kids and MIL just sat back and did nothing to stop it. Now they have made amends with their kids (my husband and sister in law.) however I refuse to ever allow them to be alone with Nichole. Luckily they live in LA. and I'm in TX, but they will not be able to have Nichole go spend a week with them kind of thing. Just not going to happen.
In your case I would take it as it comes. If you are not comfortable letting them watch your twins (congrats by the way, I couldn't imagine the struggles you go through daily) then don't let them. As far as advise I would take all the advise they want to give you and listen, some of it may be good, but take it as a grain a salt. Listen to everything and use what you need. HTH |
