 | Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | My son is 18 months now. we just started on the Glenn Doman Math program.
for the 1st 2 days, he sat down and looked at the dots cards, figuring out what they are... and showed a surprised face when I end the sessions.
then he became really interested and asked for more each time I'm done with the 5 cards. and he will move really near and touch the cards or try to grab them from me.
He is sitting so near, I wonder if he can see all the dots on the cards.
What should I do? |

Children: Nichole | Re: Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | does he seem to have problems looking at other things? I would say if you are concerned take him to an eye doctor. We started Nichole off at 12 months old going |

 | Re: Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | haha. think you've misunderstood me.
My son doesn't have eye problems.
I meant that since he is so near the cards, i don't know if he can see all the dots clearly.. hmm... hope you get it. |

 | Re: Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | hmm... let me try again.
1. my son likes to grab the dots cards. should I let him?
If not, how to prevent?
2. he sits very near to the cards (so that he can grab them). should I allow?
if not, how to make him keep a distance?
3. any reason why he is behaving this way?
am i going too slow? |

Children: Nichole | Re: Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | my guess is that he is just curious of the cards. He wants to see them hold them touch them, heck at 18 months he may want to eat them lol
Let him touch them, what would that hurt. That is how babies learn.
We have alphabet cards for Nichole, and she loves to look at them and tell me the picture on them. I sit with her and let her grab the cards and then we do the "whats this?" she says "apple" I say good, apple starts with A, do you see the A? she grabs the cards and just plays.
I think he is behaving this way because he is a baby. lol ITs normal, don't worry |

Children: Nichole | Re: Calling Glenn Doman users and "experts" | | I know, I was wanting to say the same thing, but since she never actually says where to buy it and such I left it alone.
I'm not a bg pusher in children anyways. Yes we learn things everyday and I'm fairly confident to say mine is slightly above the average child in terms of what she knows for her age (not her smarts, just what she has learned so far) so... I don't need crazy math cards, but if others want to use them.... more power to them |
