 | Re: starting young | | when i was younger, my mum "forces" me to pick up piano. i didnt like it and it was a struggle for me... but i guess i learnt how to appreciate music better nowadays though i can't really play the piano.
even at this age, i'm in my mid-twenties , i'm picking up games to play.
2 games which I really play for brain training are RUSHHOUR & RIVERCROSSING
i personally love CLUEDO for leisure. In Singapore, we have Game Cafes booming up which allows people to gather to play boardgames. I simply love it man!
The way someone plays a game reflects on the person personality as well as they like to say "Life is just like a game"

Children: stepson 10 yrs old | Re: starting young | | Avoid the electronic stuff and get some good old fashionned toys and games. I'm not one that likes electronic toys and my stepson however is totally enamored with them...Unfortunately, my bf is as well and it doesn't go over too well on week ends...I was brought up that there's a time and place to sit in front of the tv and we were pushed to read alot growing up (I LOVE reading and read as much as I can...however recently the only time I do it is on my way to and from work...) music is an excellent way to stimulate a child's development...especially if you get some smooth moves in it as well...and change the type of music you listen to so your child can grow up appreciating everything...anything that promotes being open mindedness and curiosity is excellent...I used to sit down with my grand mother's old BINGO, and try to place the numbered balls in order, and I used to play with cards and place them in order then try to count how many times I had to shuffle them until they were all mixed up...that little experiment lasted a few months of trial and error and made math-logic alot easier for me...

Game nights are really fun, and teach great strategy skills. |
