Default Fever and Constipation

I need help! My 4 year old daughter is miserable. I feel like she has been fighting viruses all winter. She had the stomach flu a bit ago, then bronchitis and now is completely constipated. She is supposed to still be on pulmacort breathing treatments but I can't give them to her since she is so miserable. She just went to bed crying with 102 temperature. She has had blood and stool work done and everything is negative. I have been giving her Miralax (stool softener) for a few days and she did have two good bowel movements this morning. I also altered her diet to help and even had to do a glycerin suppository. However, she is acting constipated again this afternoon and evening. The fever will come and go and so will the stomach pain. She has been complaining of stomach pain for about the last 6 months but it is getting much more intense. I am just afraid this is more serious. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hmmm, that's a hard one. What kind of test did they do? Did the look in her stomach for anything abnormal? Is it on the side? Does she have icky poos? I would take her off of dairy all together and see if that help. If she doesn't like soy mike, buy the chocolate soy (my son loves it). One thing with the fever, give her a warm/cold bath and giver her cold water. That will take the fever down without giving her meds that could upset her stomach. I don't like giving my kids meds unless I have to. I don't know if you talked to your doctor about giving her vitamin C, but that truly does help with them staying healthy and keeping them that way. Not the kids that have sugars in them. I would also have them seriously take a look in her stomach. I know it wont be pleasant for her or you, but they need to find out what is going on in there. Sometimes doctors don't take the time they should with people, so you need to tell them what you want them to do.
Sorry Hun, I am at a loss. I would not be pumping her full of meds, that could be also causing the pains. For her breathing, you can get the baby vics that wont be to strong and irritate the skin. Have her sleep with pillows under her back and head, that will help with breathing and coughing.
I know how hard it is to see your child in pain. I hope she gets better soon and hope something helps.
I am far from a doctor, but have kids and have been around kids all my life.
My son had a pain in his stomach, with a fever, but only lasted for a few days.
Take care.

What area of her stomach is hurting? You need to take her back to the doctor. It could be anything from an abcess, localized infection, to appendicitis. Sometimes tests don't reflect the presence of either of these conditions.

Yes, I would say to take her back to the Dr's. I know my son drinks a lot of milk. And when he had the stomach flu I had to take him of the milk for a couple of weeks. It was almost like his stomach couldn't handle the milk for a few.
