Talking it over with my husband helps. He's a "if it is, we'll battle it together" kind of guy. Which I adore in him!
I've had another kind of depression whenever he was on deployment, when I had a similar thought for like a day and then it was gone. I was warned that I was at higher risk for ppd because my history. |

Children: Two girls, Alenya is two and a half and Kaitlyn is a newborn. | Re: Need Help? | | I just talked with hospital and husband.
Hospital said to go ahead and come in and they'll see me today.
Husband asked if I was alright, he would meet me there after he got off work if I was there and they still needed to talk to me.
I cried, because I just see myself as a failure and horrible mother. I mean, for real, what kind mother would think these things? I know it's probably the ppd, but it just physically hurts to think this way.
Anyway, I'm waiting for my newborn to take a nap so I can go and get myself together and ready to go. So I wish me some good luck! And I'll update. |

 | Re: Need Help? | | That's great you can get in so soon! You are NOT a horrible mother. There are many women that go through the same thing. What kind of mother would think these things? I did.

Children: 2 children, Debra Lyn, and Logan (Bubba) Michael. Due in July with #3 | Re: Need Help? | | I am so glad you are going to get some help. PPD is no joking matter and it has so many different levels. Please keep us updated and never never think you are a bad mother because of these thoughts. I had serious PPD after My first child was born, I know how hard this can be.

Children: One boy 8, twin girls 7. | Re: Need Help? | | I also had PPD after my twin girls and it is very scary when you are going through it. You did great by looking for help. The meds they give you will take a bit to go into effect but they will work wonders. I was on Lexapro. Hang in there, it will pass. You are NOT a failure at all. You are great for getting help. |

Children: I have one beautiful spirit currently growing inside my wife. | Re: Need Help? | | I also have read quite a few articles linking food choices to our ability to manufacture hormones and other "chemistry" in the brain. I think the general idea is that good building blocks are better for building. I sincerely wish you a speedy return to your happiness.
