| Re: Shrimp | | I think I'll try some HW, I always have a stack of shrimp rings in the freezer, sometimes they're on sale for like $2.99/ring and I buy like $50 worth.
I've had jumbo shrimp at fancy-ass restaurants, is that pretty much the same thing? |

| Re: Shrimp | | Wicked HW, bring on the pics...I would so love to live by the sea.
I have 2 acres of land in Sydney NS, that I bought years ago as an investment, I've actually never been to it yet, it's right on the ocean looking out towards Newfoundland. I hope to build there one day and sit on the dock everyday, eating shrimp and lobster (and fishing)...don't forget the kick-ass speedboat! |

Sometimes we'll get a big tray when we have company and get leftovers.. it'd be nice to be able to use them in a meal (pasta ideas seem perfect) afterwards. |

Children: 4 Year Old Daughter | Re: Shrimp | | Here's an easy idea for next time:
Cut asparagus about 2" long. Wrap 2 pieces of asparagus and one shrimp in a slice of bacon and use a toothpick to hold together. Put them on a glass cooking sheet (use a little olive oil on the bottom to keep them from sticking.) Lightly dust the top of them with cayene pepper and bake on 350 degrees until the top is crispy and they are done.
Dd helped me make these the other night and she surprised me with how well she was able to put them together. :-)

We did something similar in the summer with uncooked shrimp. We put a thin slice of Jalapeno in the cut in the back, dust them with cayenne and wrap in bacon. We put them on a Skewer and put them on the bbq.. sooo yummy! |

There is no buiding there just land. I would have to bring the trailer which means a 26+ hour drive from here. Once there, I would have to clear about a 1/4 mile of road to get the trailer onto the property. We have a cottage in Muskoka which is pretty awesome so summer weekends etc are spent there. I would like to live out east for a while by the sea, but my dream is to live out my later years in Muskoka, it's like paradise there to me. |
