Not sure if this is the right place.. feel free to move.

Wondering if anyone knows of something you can do with cooked shrimp. My DS loves them but not cold. DH just brough home a nice bunch of cooked/cleaned shrimp.

I was thinking to put maybe a little olive oil and a little garlic and sautee them a little bit? You think that would rubber them up or would it work out?

Mix them in with some macaroni and cheese or toss into a garden salad. Works for my DD. LOL!

I occasionally buy uncooked shrimp and make shrimp scampi. Yum!

I'll tell you exactly what to do with them...

Dip them in a touch of Seafood Sauce, and cram 'em in my mouth.

So the sautee didn't really work out.. it was ok, but he didn't eat it. I think because the consistancy was still that of cocktail shrimp..just warmed.

He tore up the Tilapia and wild rice though! I was so happy to see him liking the fish He likes salmon but has turned down white type fish until today.

Macaroni and shrimp ? ... thats just not right !! LOL

Shrimp should not be overcooked ... warm lightly butter/olive oil and garlic, a hint of lemon is nice on them as well.

Small shrimp I would add to another food (pasta is a good choice)

If you have raw prawns (larger than shrimp)
dust them in flour, in a fry pan, lightly saute some green onions (chives) in butter and garlic *lots* (fresh is best). add prawns after 3/4 saute, reduce heat.. add 4 tbs white wine, finish cooking (about 2 1/2 minutes).

A nice add is steamed green beans with garlic and fresh cracked pepper

serve with a glass of chilled white wine ... sit back in the soaker tubv with candles lit... and hand feed your love ...
