I put spinach in my meatloaf, burgers, and spag sauce pretty regularly and no knows. I have also put carrots into my sloppy joes and that went over well. you can mash sweet potatoes and add them to pancakes, that's very tasty. mashed cauliflower hides well in mashed potatoes. There are quite a few cook books on the subject as well. One thing I will recommend is that you continue to serve a veg on the side as well though and have the child also eat a few bites of that. Hiding veggies is great for getting you child to eat them but you also want to teach them the importance of a well balanced diet

I am the queen of sneaking veggies into food. People don't even know they are eating the vegetables because they can't taste them. It works like a charm. I found a really great article about how to put healthy foods into your diet and it helped me get started. If you are interested I could send you the link, just let me know!!!

Those are all great ideas, but I agree with fallon that you should still put a veggie on the side for children. They need to understand and start practicing healthy eating at a young age. They will not always have someone to hide vegetables in their regular meals.

All great ideas, and ones I use -- another thing is to get them active in the preparation of the veggies. My son is difficult, but I find he eats them if he's the one that prepares them. For instance, broccoli is his friend if he helped get it ready and helped by stirring the stir-fry. He loves green beans if I let him crush the garlic and saute it a few minutes(supervised!) before adding in the green beans and heating them through, etc. Of course, a really young one can't use the stove..but there's ways to get them involved

I don't recommend "sneaking" them in as this can result in trust issues if you're caught. Why don't you sign up for Real Savvy Mom's free webcast on providing proper nutrition to your child. I heard they'll be going in depth about picky eaters. You can sign up by clicking here
