I had to google HFCS to see what you are talking about. That stuff is evil, I feel like it's a nice (deceptive) word to describe SUPER SUGAR. We avoid that around here as well and it's amazing how much healthy looking stuff is loaded with it.

The government is being useless? NO WAY!

Public schools would have pushed Lita into ADD meds if I hadn't taken her out and cut out HFCS. You should see her after we go out for ice cream or something. It's crazy.

My oldest has food sensitivities. HFCS is a big nono in our house. But I'm not going to cry to the government to make them quit putting in it bread. I'm going to buy the bread that doesn't have it. Haha, take that!

But I'm kinda silly about the whole freedom thing.
I agree 100%

I don't think most kids have a problem with the food dyes targeted (and that some most likely do), but I completely agree about not using them as they are unnecessary.

I also agree about voting with your wallet: We don't buy junk for our kids (I don't buy it for myself, but my husband...). But it's pretty easy when they are 20-months old; I just hide the car keys and we're safe.
