I can't remember who said their child almost dies from rotavirus: but I wanted to say I am so sorry your child went through that. I am sure it was aweful. BUT VERY FEW deaths have occured in the us for it. And you really have to think if they say that 98% of all children will have rotovirus before they are 5 years old and this disease was never even heard of until recently, how scary is it? According to the CDC only 5 people died of it in the last year. 3 were under 2 months old (not vaccinated yet) and teh other 2 were elderly.

also they didn't start vaccinating for this again until last year (or before Nichole was born at least) because the last one was pulled off the market for killing children with a lovely thing called twsiting of the intestines. This one that is now on the market, is being questioned as they are seeing a large increase AGAIN in the intertusuption.
Also they are given the vaccine at 2 4 and 6 months. If they don't get it at 2 months they can't get the rest or ever. That always sounded funny to me

Well we have mercury in our seafood here anyway (something to think about though) My children defintily are not autistic.
I never let them get the flu shot until this last year and now I'm starting to wonder if it's just coincedence or if maybe that started this whole sick junk. I don't want to read too much into it.

no you shouldn't it might be coincedence., But you may consider not giving them a flue shot next year and see if they get sick like they did this year.

The amount of mercury that your child eats with seafood is NOTHING comparing to flu shots! Not that it doesn’t ADD, it does.
A typical flu shot contains 25 micrograms - or 50,000 parts per billion - of mercury.
The EPA classifies a liquid with 200 parts per billion of mercury as hazardous waste. The limit for drinking water is 2 parts per billion.
Using the standards set for the kind of mercury in fish, an average 130-pound person getting the flu shot would exceed the daily limit by more than four times. A 22-pound baby would get more than 25 times the amount of mercury considered safe.

The baby had received a flu vaccine and died of the flu. (nice!) The interesting thing on the TV news story the doctor interview said something along the lines of, "...this just proves how important it is to get your child the flu vaccine." Dah!!!!

well even they will admit that there is no way to know if the flu that will go around is the one they vaccinate for. They guess and hope for the best.

I don't think I'm going to get them vacinated again. The only reason I did is because I caught the flu and it knocked me on my butt! I didn't want them to feel that.

of course they do. they always hope for the best $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ with vaccines (and they sure get it!)

If you look into every and each vaccine, I highly doubt you will ever give another shot to your kids. It is a very scary staff to learn. It really is.

I was raped. I have done a lot of mistakes in my life. My father has a cancer. BUT if I only could change just ONE THING, I'd NEVER allow my son to get the 9 shots he did (three sent of DTaP, HiB and PCV). Even if it means, I still go though the rape and my father dies from cancer.
