Children: Jill born Jan 12, 1996 | 2007 World Series | | I can't recall world series that is such a clear mismatch. The Rockies might as well forfeit games 2-4. They shouldn't be called "The Rockies", they should be called "The Rookies".
My buddies and I were howling with laughter at the Rockies total collapse in 5th inning. We were just rolling on the floor, after nearly every pitch. On guy joked that to make it a fair game, Boston should play blind folded. I think the bottom of the 5th went on for close to 45 minutes WITH 2 OUTS!. How many pitchers did they go through? How many doubles? How many walks? The only thing that didn't happen was a grand slam, so in that regard, we were disappointed. ;-)
I'll be surprised if the Rockies wins more than one game. No chance to win the series.

I live in St. Louis, so I have stopped paying attention to sports teams!! LOL |

We're Red Sox fans, but don't underestimate the Rockies. Who knows how the Sox will do in Colorado with the high altitude, of which they're not used to. ?? And don't forget about Ortiz's hurt knee. I won't be too upset if the under dogs win. |

Children: Jill born Jan 12, 1996 | Re: 2007 World Series | | Yeah, it is not only 4 straight this year, but it was 4 straight in 2004, so can't say it is a flute that only happens once every 1000 years
I remember 2004, and watching them come back from being 3 games down against the Yankees in the play offs. Not only were they three games down, but in the 4th game they were at least a couple runs behind in the 9th inning with two outs. I can't recall who hit the home run to win the game. Even then, noboby thought they had a chance. Winning 4 straight against the Yankees, nobody does that. That is something that happens only once in 1000 years!
It was the of the most amazing come backs in the history of baseball. |
