We had a super time in Pennsylvania. The house we rented was amazing. My parents stayed with us and we visited with my sister and her family and friends. We went to Hershey Park and Chocolate World and enjoyed outlet shopping, etc.. Fun week! Now I need to unpack and conquer Mt. Laundry.

Circa 1850 Amish farm house on a 50 acre horse farm. It has been refurbished and turned into a vacation rental. That's my van and my Dad's Honda Goldwing with trailer.


The property has several Amish neighbors. We often heard clopping and would see an Amish horse and buggy go by.

After a long day at Hershey Park. The kids look beat, but my Dad (75) was still raring to go. He is such a big kid! He went on all the wild roller coasters with us and went on his favorites 2 and 3 times. LOL!




We were following my parents to the highway and had to stop to allow these geese to cross the road. LOL!

YES, those are my parents on the motorcycle. They are young and quite active for their ages (71 & 75). They have toured all continental states on their Honda Goldwing. They also like to travel a lot. They went to Africa last fall and are going to Australia in September.

The week went by too quickly. I would have liked to enjoy the pool longer. It was also nice to see my sister. We don't see each other often.

Ahhh...that looks lovely. We used to frequent Hershey park growing up, and I remember it being a fabulous time. I assume that's Hershey Park in the pic?

You're right, that's Hershey Park. We had so much fun, but easily could have spent another day there. We didn't get to see the whole park or do everything we wanted to do. We concentrated on the roller coasters, but didn't even get to go on the two most extreme ones because the lines were too long. My Dad was bummed about that. LOL!

Billy Joel was just starting to sing at Hershey Stadium as we were walking out to the parking lot. My kids didn't even know who he was. Too bad we didn't time our vacation differently. RUSH is playing there next weekend. I would have loved to hang around for that.

Man...we need to go on vacation soon!!! The last vacation I was on ....well I can't actually remember it because I was eight years old.

LOL, GW! DH and I were married for 10 yrs. before I figured out that he would never take vacations unless *I* planned them. He's a workaholic and averages 80 hrs. a week. Life is too short and our kids are growing up quickly. We agree on a vacation budget and a general location and time frame and I do all the planning. The first time I did this he was very reluctant, but during our vacation he thanked me profusely for *making* him relax because he was enjoying himself, despite the fact he was still doing work on his laptop. Now I make a point of planning at least one vacation every year. Hmmm, what should we do next year?? LOL!
