 | Cramps? | | Ok, this is probably a stupid question, but I was reading some pregnancy symptoms and one of them said if you have cramping after sex, that's a symptom. My question is can you get cramps after sex when you're not pregnant too? Like, they kind of hurt and are a bit uncomfortable. I'm healthy so I'm lost as to what it could be. Thanks for any help. |

Children: One boy 8, twin girls 7. | Re: Cramps? | | You can get cramping anytime. Usually if you are pg the cramping doesn't start until the egg is implanting.
If the cramp is on a certain side you could have ovarian cysts. That's very commom and alot of times they disolve but they can cause discomfort.
If it's been a while since your last pap I would suggest you get one to rule out precancerous cells, or any std's. |

 | Re: Cramps? | | The bf and I only sleep with each other, no one else, so there's no chance of any STD's. I have an exam every year, which always turns out to be healthy. I don't get the cramps all the time. There's only been 2 times I've gotten them after sex. Once when I was pregnant and then once last month when I thought I was because I was late. Just wasn't really sure since I had a few other symptoms of pregnancy, then I got my period. Thanks for replying. |

Children: Nichole | Re: Cramps? | | you can still get an STD, only because they can lay dormant for years sometimes. Of course if you both were virgins then you could probably say that.
As far as cramping goes, sometimes when a woman orgasms it can cause slight cramping, its the reason why they say to have sex at the end of a pg to help start labor |

Children: One boy 8, twin girls 7. | Re: Cramps? | | If he's only boyfriend then why not try condoms? Sometimes a woman's body acts allergic to a mans sperm (rare but can happen). I agree that men lie and say "oh you are the only one" I'm not trying to tell you what to do or judge but I would have a serious commitment if you are trying to have a child. I am raising three children and once you have a child sometimes the man doesn't want to "play house" anymore. I wish you the best. |

 | Re: Cramps? | | Well, we've been having sex for over 2 years now and the cramps have only happened twice. I'm not naive enough to believe he's never been with anyone before me nor is he the only one I'd been with before him. But we have both had tests done on ourselves and we're both healthy. We're not trying for a baby but we're not opposed to it either. Whatever happens, happens if it's meant to be. |
