Children: DD (10) and DS (12) | Re: Doing your grocery shopping online | | We have Peapod here, and I've looked into it, but decided not to go that route. Not only is it expensive, but their choices (name brands, options, sizes, etc.) are very limited. Both our kids have severe food allergies so we have to be picky on ingredients and brands to make sure everything is safe for them. Not only that but we use all perfume and dye free soaps and detergents and need HE laundry soap. At the time, none of those things were available.
It would be a very convenient service, provided you don't mind the extra cost and they can supply everything you need. |

Children: Two boys, Alexander (3) and Ryan (6 months) | Re: Doing your grocery shopping online | | I don't think we have the service here, I've never looked into it though. I can see why doing it. It's a pain lugging kids to a grocery store, but I don't think I would switch to online shopping for groceries.
Although, it's a hassle every weekend packing up the kids to go, I like grocery shopping days. Hubby comes along and it's a family day for us. Since he works M-F it's a day we can all be together. Especially, once I go back to work, it will probably be the rare time when all four of us are together and I don't want to take that away from the kids. |

Children: A one year old boy, Eli. | Re: Doing your grocery shopping online | | Well, I do think it sounds cool and everything. It sounds like a good way to simplify something annoying and somewhat time consuming. I sometimes have a hard time getting out to do it lol.
BUT even if I did have that service around here (which I don't believe I do), I wouldn't use it because A: I don't really have the extra money. And B: I really like taking Eli out every chance I get to experience everything he can. I think he really likes to go to the store and see new things and different people. It's just like - anything besides home, you know? lol. Plus you never know who you're going to run into at the store, and that's fun. And Eli's so cute he always gets extra attention from people and I think we both like that haha. Oh, and C: I like to see everything they have and shop as I go, I don't really make a list. I'm just like Oh that looks good! I also like to read the ingredients in a lot of stuff too, I'm paranoid like that.

They sent the world's oldest man to bring my +$200 in groceries up to my 3rd floor apartment. I felt like I should be the one helping him.
Didn't do it again. |
