and then Florida in the fall. I'd love to do a day trip or two, too, but haven't planned those yet. |

 | Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | Oh, we will probably do a few mini-trips. With a baby that will turn 1 year in the summer - it's hard to plan long trips. We will probably go to Sea World and maybe to the beach.... |

 | Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | Sigh....vacation 2007...what a dream... We have baby number two on the way in April, and I've stopped working, so our vacation will likely be a trip to the back yard. Last summer we took a BEAUTIFUL trip to the Outer Banks for an entire week in early June.
You wouldn't believe the deal you can get if you book early. We booked our oceanside cabin this time last year and paid literally $395 plus tax for a 3 bedroom beach house for 7 days. The ENTIRE trip, including house, rental car, gas from Ohio and lunch and dinner out every night cost us $1000 for 3 of us.
I would highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a nice, peaceful vacation that is also affordable. There's plenty to do within a reasonable drive as well. |

 | Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | I am planning a group cruise to jamaica for Thanksgiving 2007. 5 days all inclusive vacation on a cruise. My whole family is going to go this time so that my kids can experience a cruise. I got a great price so those that decide to join us will be happy with the service they experience and also enjoy a luxurious Thanksgiving dinner aboard the boat. |

 | Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | We do "mini trips" - we camp on weekends. We also go gold prospecting at the same time. It's a lot of fun! We usually go for 5 days over Memorial Day and Labor Day. Last year, I think we did 5 days at July 4th also. We also do 3-day weekends occasionally. The two spots to which we go to most often are 3.5 and 2.5 hours away. |

| Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | We go camping occasionally. Not as often as we'd like, though. We bought a pop-up camper at the end of the summer last year, so hopefully we'll be able to go more often. I know it's alot easier getting off a bed than sleeping on the ground, even with an air mattress. I just can't get up like I used to. |

| Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | Last summer we took our first multi-generational vacation with my parents. We went to Prince Edward Island. I was wary about going away all of us together but it was the BEST vacation we've ever been on, even with 10 hours of driving. What a beautiful and relaxing place to be! I think we will probably stick with mini-vacations, camping weekends etc this year. |

Children: one beautiful baby girl | Re: Family Trips for 2007? | | I just dropped my neighbors off at the airport this morning -- they're doing a cruise in the Bahamas. Boy I can't tell you how great it was to get up at 6am in this freezing weather to send someone else off like that... |
