Not a big gamer. But I was playing those Sims games there for awhile. Actually, just the one. The Sims 2. I still play occasionally with my kids. But they got the Twisted Metal and Final Fantasy games.

Our daughter and her friends are really into the The Sims.

Anyone played Second Life? Curious if there is anything to be concerned about letting our 12 year old daughter play it. Thx!

The game content is ok but you always have to worry about subjecting your kids to online worlds. My best friends X was caught cybering with some guy on Final Fantasy.

If she has a good head on her shoulders and knows the whole 'stranger danger' thing then she will be fine. I would still monitor it though.

I've installed secondLife and have just start to explore it a little bit to get a sense of what kind of problems she might get into. She knows the rules about giving out personal info on-line. Second Life is a virtual world, not the real one, so to me the real dangers are getting people to reveal personal info about themselves. She won't be given any money to spend in Second Life, so that won't be a issue either.
