Well, we may be getting married soon. He hasn't asked me yet but I did notice a large amount of money missing from the money he had been saving (more than just a christmas gift amount) and my bestfriend may have said something about they were talking about it and he said with in a year there should be a wedding.

Ok so that means i'm going to have to plan our wedding!! We are going to pay for the whole thing ourselves, and we don't have any money (very little), and I want our wedding to be nice not elaborate - but nice....

So, I want to know what is it that you spent money on for your weddings that was absoulutly not needed!

And the one thing that was!

Even if your not married, I still would like to know what you think is not worth spending the money on.

I actually put my wedding together for under $1000 total. We had it at a small church and had an afternoon buffet. My stepfather and I made my dress.

Well we served sandwiches on croissants. We made several side dishes. We had a dry wedding- there was no alcohol. I made it all myself except the cake.

lol - that's what I was thinking! To go from extra cash missing to must missing because it's for a ring is a big assumption! What if he lost it gambling? Or maybe put a big TV on layaway :-P

LOL... It's not too big an assumption, I know him pretty well not a gambler or in any trouble and we've been talking about it but it's pretty hard to hid it from me I handle all the bills and accounts so I usually know where the money is and when I asked him about it he said he'll call the bank and see what was going on very unlike him (because at first I didn't put it together) but then my friend hadn't called in a few days (she can't keep a secret) so I called her to see what was going on and that is when she told me when she was in town last week he had mentioned something about a wedding (and suprisingly she had to get off the phone so quick).. Sooo I believe I know what is going on..
