The first time I left my kids alone was with my parents, and as we walked out the door I was sooo worried. Which was stupid because my dad is a retired pediatrician and my mom a retired peds nurse. They are about the safest people in the world to leave kids with (not to mention the fact that both would take a bullet for any of their kids or grandkids). But I found myself still fretting about it...until I started to have fun and relax. Then I could see how silly I had been. Parenting makes us weird sometimes. |
