 | Holy Week | | Does anyone do anything special for Holy Week? I am going to start a new tradition this year. We have a Holy Week candle that gets lit every day this week. I'm also going to try and go no-meat no-dairy, which should be easy for me. Holy Saturday the lights will get taped down. I was really inspired after last year attending a passover. It made me want to do something more symbolic as a Christian for Holy Week.

DH's maternal family was Jewish, so we've talked about exploring that here. I have some books on the subject that I am reading to get us started.

 | Re: Holy Week | | Those are neat traditions to start. I wish we had some, but don't really do anything at this point, other than Good Friday and Easter Monday, we attend Church. My daughter does a sader meal at her school, and the teachers wash their feet. That is kind of neat. They also tell them one thing they like about the child when they are doing this.

We'll just go on Sunday. We went last night, but we had a guest preacher (an awesome missionary we support) so it wasn't exactly an "easter" message.

Now, Lauren is my youngest, and she'll sit still through most of the service, but if the preacher gets to thinking he's Pharoah (Let my people go!!!) then she'll start squirming. Normally just a lil' loving on her will get her to calm down enough to let the service finish.
