My sister would go into debt by buying a bazillion useless presents and then not show up for the gift exchange. Afterward, she would refuse to talk to anyone for months and spend the next year bitterly blaming your mother and that damn Santa Claus for ruining her life.

I forgot about the pretend cop thing. She needs to win something for this...maybe a button to wear on a pretend cop outfit:



Ok, back to reality: I'm glad it didn't get physical and you got your kids out of there ASAP. While it may never happen, I hope your mother develops some insight in how much pain she has caused, even she can't acknowledge it or change her behavior.

She will NEVER realize what she does. She always lies and says "I did not do that, you are crazy" She po'd my brother off today and he was ready to go to her house and kill her. She just doesn't know when to shut up.
She's one of those who is 67 and thinks she's 30 and tries to compete with me. It's so humorous. We've told her how ridiculous she looks and how people are viewing her. She substitutes as well but in the booney schools and she thinks the kids love her. I found out they make fun of her. She will NEVER say she's sorry. She never says please or thank you. She demands things as if the world owes her. She takes advantage of churches and food pantries and all the free things she can get, when she has money. SHe hates all people. She says the most racist things about people. She has NO manners. I can not stand eating with her. SHe talks and the food comes out of her mouth. She has this thing with pointing. She'll talk about someone and point at them with her crooked old finger. She thinks all men are starring at her. She's 1,000 yrs old, they are wondering what the hell is wrong with her! My pity is over with her. RIP old hag. I'm done.

I completely understand the "no pity" thing. After a while a person like this sucks all the sympathy out of you, and after the millionth time of getting burned you have to give up hope. That was the hardest for me: Giving up hope that my sister would actually be a real older sister to me. But at a certain point you have to protect yourself (and your kids).

I'm sure you are right that she will never admit she was wrong. I know my sister to this day refuses to take responsibility for anything, no matter how small or big. I only hope that she has occasional private moments where she sees things more clearly, but I doubt she does.

Yes it does. You would think they'd have a moment of clarity and say "oh my gawd, I am nuts" but they just don't.
I bought a book about it called "quit walking on glass border line personality disorder" it was so on key. Amazing.

It sucks you have to deal with it - I feel bad for your kids too. They shouldn't have to have heard those things.
