I love Queen. So does my kid. Love the fact that we can share a moment to talk about something together. You should try it. If you kid is into rock too i'm pretty sure they would like Queen too. Queen isn't hard to like. On top of this, good news had come around, Did you guys hear about the CD "The A-Z of Queen, Vol 1." It's like a best of CD of Queen. Sweet stuff. Man I bought it the other day with my buddy at umgd and we totally checked up on it. There's like videos in it too. It's got like the great stuff from Bicycle Race, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Another One Bites the Dust. Good stuff. And the Bohemian video. I catch my time listening to them all the time. Glad I am too. you can get it online at walmart .com

what exactly would you like people to say about this thread? I'm very confused about he message you're trying to get across here. Sounds to me like spam. if not though I am sorry, maybe you really just wanted to share your experience. we get a lot of folks coming here pretending to be something they're not. Personally I think it's sick. Anyways if you aren't trying to sell this CD it was a very interesting first post... most people introduce themselves first

I am also very puzzled by this, along with all the other spam been hitting the forum. I'm wondering if legitimate ad\promotional agencies feel that this form of promotion is OK, so actually have people on staff that do nothing but spam sites using factious persona. If it was a personal website I can see that owner might do it himself (still not justified), but wallymart? Individuals don't go about promoting big companies out the kindness of their hearts, there is no need to do it, but big companies do hire ad agencies to increase web activity. I have no doubt that they are hired to increase the daily hit count, and watch the hit numbers by the hour as if it is the stock market.

Well personally I think it's just dumb, every time they do this (and it's been a lot lately) it makes me totally not want whatever it is they're promoting. This is poor Advertising really, bad business all around. It kinda makes sense to me when it's a kid friendly product, I guess, I still hate it, but anyways... a Queen CD...really .

One spam tip off is when they attempt hide the web sites so that automated systems are less likely to remove it from the message. In this case, there is extra space in the name "parentingforums .org" rather than "parentingforums.org". It also makes it look like a type-o.

Could be some guy stoked about Queen or something posting all around to promote it. Seems stupid to be advertised this way lol.

The only person who knows for sure is the individual who posted it. However, it follows the classic spam template, so if I were a betting man, I would bet with about 95% confidence that it is spam. Generally you can't tell 100% if it spam based on a single post alone. But over time it becomes obvious if its, or isn't because spammers follow the same pattern time after time.

Junk "guerilla marketing". Some paid poster (likely by Queen's people, WalMart, or some ad agency affiliated with either or). Google his username and Queen ... he has a bunch of 1st posts on forums saying basically what he said here. Why he'd post this on a non-music forum is beyond me. These guys are clogging up the internet ... they rank right up there with telemarketers on the karma scale. There's a special place in hell for them all.
