I think connecting with this movie is also a reason I liked it. Quote:

I had the same regret about Apocalypse Now which I was finally able to see in the theater when redux came out. The experience was awesome. |

Children: Jill born Jan 12, 1996 | SuperBad | | A buddy and I went to see Superbad over the weekend. I was entertained, but is not nearly as good as Dazed and Confused and few other teenage films (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Valley Girl, The Sure Thing, American Graffiti, Better off Dead).
What was clear about Superbad was that the producers wanted it to be as close to NC-17 they could get. My guess is the early cuts of the film were NC-17, and they had to start watering it down to get a R rating. I am sure the DVD version will clearly be the NC-17 version not releases in theaters.
It will become that one movies that every teenage boy for the next 10 years will see despite the objections of his parents, just like teenage boys manage to watch a few porn movies without their parents knowledge. |

Children: Jill born Jan 12, 1996 | Re: Movie Talk | | I have Wedding Crashers somewhere in our Netflix cue. Generally my daughter and wife keep changing the cue so my movies always end up at the bottom. If I really want to watch a movie, I have to see it in the theaters or buy the DVD. Sometimes we go rent a movie, but that is really what Nextflix is for. And if we do rent one it generally is some kind of chick flick they want to see.
Superbad is a cross between Porky's and Dazed and Confused. Very much over the top with teenage boys obsession with sex from the nerd perspective. My wife wouldn't have liked it, and my daughter would have just giggled the entire time.

Great movie my wife and I just saw. It's #34 on IMDB's top 250 of all time. Definitely worth renting...very quirky and heartwarming. |

It always makes me chuckle a bit when I send movies back than get the email that something totally different then what I was expecting is on it's way. His also sit unopened for a while but it's mainly because I'm in no hurry to watch them |
