Which was a million dollar hit, and Billy Joel barely made more than a few dollars. I am not sure he gets any royalties to the song. Wouldn't surprise me if he has to pay someone else every time he plays the song in a concert.

Very true, and very sad...

I am a big advocate for "giving credit where credit is due" especially in the music industry, Jaco Pastorious was raked through the coals while people stole from him, and now his poor family see's almost nothing of his royalties.

And Michael Jackson outbidding Paul McCartney for Beatles royalties was just wrong.

I like a little of everything, but heavily lean towards classic rock. My least favorites are rap and country. Oh, I can't stand The Doors. I have to turn OFF the sound if one of their songs comes on.

My favorite band is Aerosmith. My all time favorite song is Dream On. I want it played at my funeral.
