I'm a music fan and I don't see a thread yet so I'll start one. What are some of your favorite musicians/artists/bands/singers? What are your favorite genres? Your least favorite?

I listen to a fairly large columberate. Country, rock, alternative, some pop. NO r&b or rap though, just not my thing

Here are some, if not all, the music I listen to: Tori Amos, Chris Cornell, Counting Crows, Keith Caputo, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Free Dominguez, Faith No More, Kay Hanley, Hollowpoint, Gary Jules, Jewel, Norah Jones, Jack Off Jill, Kidneythieves, Lisa Loeb, Letters to Cleo, The Murmurs, Nirvana, Poe, R.E.M., Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots, Scarling, Shakira, Soul Asylum, Regina Spektor, Tilly And The Wall, KT Tunstall, Train, Weird Al Yankovic, Amy Winehouse My favorite genres: rock Least favorite genres: rap; heavy metal; country music from 1990 to the present.

I listen to everything Except maybe Death Metal and Hard Core Gangsta Rap. My favorite song ever is Against All Odds but I like Gavin DeGraw version better than the Phil Collins version.

I listen to everything except the my wife shot me and took my left kidney country and hardcore rap. I like mostly R&B and pop. And because I play the piano, I like Alicia Keys a lot. | ||

I listen to a ton of different stuff depending on my mood. I have a 5-disc CD in my car, and right now in there I have Tool, 3 Days Grace, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Rascall Flatts. I do not listen to any rap though, and I don't like country that is too twangy. | ||

LOL. I still am not too huge on country, most of the time I prefer hard rock - Tool, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, etc. However, it's not like I can really listen to that type of music with Hannah in the car! ( I guess I could, but I wouldn't) | ||

One thing I really like is soundtracks. I am a huge musical fan. When I was driving out here and it was late I rocked out to the soundtracks from Rent and Avenue Q (the kids were asleep or I wouldn't have listened to most of them.)
