Children: 2 children, Debra Lyn, and Logan (Bubba) Michael | Muzzy | | I was wondering if anybody had used this product, it's called Muzzy and it's a DVD that teaches other languages. I was thinking about getting it for the kids but I was hoping someone out there may know if it's worth the money |

| Re: Muzzy | | I do not know much about the product. (except what I have seen from the TV) but if you want your kids to learn a second language definatly start now. Now in college they require me to take two years of a language and I hate it. It is just so hard and I have also read as one gets older it becomes more difficult to teach them to be fluent in another language. So ya find out about it and it'll make it so much easier for your kids to pick up a language they take in school. I guess you could search the internet for reviews on it. |

Children: Jill born Jan 12, 1996 | Re: Muzzy | | Fallon, I don't know anything about Muzzy, but overall I think this is a great thing to be doing for\with your children. It is one of the few things I now regret not doing with our daughter when she was just learning to talk. Our daughter has a natural talent for learning languages, and if we would have pick on that fact sooner, we would have got her started much earlier. Our daughter has learned a lot of Spanish just from watching the couple of Spanish channels on our cable system. She understands enough spanish to have basic conversations with people, and one of my wife's friends speaks spanish, and helps her out they get together. |

Children: 2 children, Debra Lyn, and Logan (Bubba) Michael | Re: Muzzy | | my daughter has already started learning a little Spanish, (colors, numbers, a few animals) but we would also like her to learn Chinese, my sister-in-law is from China so she could help with that and has already taught her a few words. From what I can tell Muzzy Teaches Spanish and chinese but it costs $200, I would hate to spend the money and have the movies not hold her interest. I'm going to look into it a little farther than maybe check Ebay. My daughter asked for this for her birthday but I think that is because she wants everything she sees flash across the TV screen, but if has a few good reviews out there it might be worth it |

Children: Nichole | Re: Muzzy | | My sister wanted to learn basic things in french before she went to France for her vacation (must be nice!!) Anyways she went to the library and they had childrens DVD on different language. Muzzy sounds familiar to me but not positive thats the one she used. You may want to check though and see if your library has something similar. Then if you really like it you can buy it. |

Children: 2 boys and 2 girls | Re: Muzzy | | I've seen this and it looks like a good way for your children to learn. I speak to my kids in French sometimes, just so they have that 2nd language there, its much easier for children to learn. My grandfather is french, and I speak it fluently, although have alot of trouble with writing and reading it. Kayla can speak quite abit of French, sometimes we have conversations in french, much to my husbands confusion lol. Evie speaks it a little, like she can count to 10 in french and 15 in english. I think a 2nd language is a great gift to give your child.
