The other day we had new garage doors and door openers put in. For the ten years we've lived here we've put up with the cheap, LOUD, uninsulated ones the contractor put in. Our bedroom is above the garage and the heat loss and noise were big factors in our decision. The difference is amazing! Hopefully this will help with heating and AC costs, too. Who would have thought something like this would make us so happy?! | ||

Why would a garage door make your ac better? Are you talking about the one that leads to the house or the outside garage big door? | ||

Car Hold doors... LOL! MM, the big doors for vehicles, as opposed to people.  In the winter, if we leave a garage door open too long our bedroom, which is right above the garage, gets COLD. In the summer it's hard to keep our bedroom cool. The central AC will be on, but our room is noticeably warmer than the rest of the house. | ||
