Children: Lucas almost 2 & Brooklyn Just Turned 1 | Talk About A Shocker | | I knew my parents had been having problems lately but today when I was talking to my Dad he let it slip that he has been thinking about divorce and that it was a distinct possibility in the near future. I asked if they had tried counseling and he says no and that he wasn't willing to try that. Anyone else have an older set of parents get divorced? How did you go about explaining to your kids that grandma and grandpa were not living in the same place anymore?

How horrible though, I hope your mom knows this. Kids are resilient, if handled well they should have no big problem adjusting. It will be awkward for sure, but reassure them it has nothing to do with them. Good Luck!

Children: Curt 20(this month) and Sean 18 | Re: Talk About A Shocker | | You know, it isn't any easier for you now that your an adult than it would be if you were a child. I'm so sorry that it has come to this for them. I feel for you.
As far as your kids go, you will just need to be honest with them. Let them ask questions, and answer them to the best of your ability, so you can help them understand the situation.
God bless and good luck. Keep us posted and when you need support, we will be here. |
