I love watching new things on you tube that I've never seen. I love having another side to me that my children have no clue about...hahaha I have tapes of a band I was in and they've never seen it. VCR tapes. How old is that! | oh cool. what do you play?
what was that like? how come aren't you still doing it?
I played guitar in a band until shortly before my youngest was born - then our singer/keyboarder/guitarist went overseas.
I would LOVE to live near the beach. This is AUSTRALIA! I mean, come on! It's, like MOSTLY beach! :-)

It's, like MOSTLY beach! :-) | I was a lead singer for a country band and then a rock band, now I do studio work to get out of the bar scene. My choice. I write and friends put it into music with my interpretation. I can write vocals just not instruments. I quit for the most part once they were born. I go out on occasion just to get my fix for music. Now that they are older I am getting back into it slowly. No more bands or playing out. I don't drink or smoke so it's not my scene anymore. I support all the new muscians out there. Maybe my children will pick it up. What was it like back then? Eight years ago. It was great. It was another world. Even locally I'd have to be careful because you would have our groupies. No lie. Local groupies would find where you were and show up. Thank goodness for my tall rocker guy friends. It was powerful and fulfilling and the most natural high you could have. It was hard putting it aside. I gave up eight years and now it's time to play again.

I don't play as much as I want to, but I can bang out a pretty respectable lead guitar when I'm warmed up... and I can certainly amuse myself on accoustic for a while after the kids are in bed...

I hear it when I walk down a quiet street. Someone could say something and a song pops into my head with something that they've said. I don't think it's prolonged childhood. I honestly think it's a lifestyle if you love it like I do. |

I run software based multitrack.
My main basses are a modified Aria Pro II, modded fretless Dean.
My main guitar is a custom (strat style).
Main Keyboards: Korg SP200, Roland Jv-80.
This is the gear I used basically everyday, (teaching / recording) but there's quite a bit more...I'm kind of a gear junky. |
