How terrible is it that I'm now leaning towards postponing my move because The Star Trek Experience is closing and I want to see it before it's gone?  And how does one get to rural Nebraska to Vegas with two kids in the next month? I haven't even been on an airplane since Jan 2001. And who wants to go with me?  I've never been to Vegas.

Yes but spending $1200 on tickets alone would mean living once in Nebraska for longer. So it's not just a matter of could I afford it. It's should I.  Write letters protesting and get them to close it next year.
