I always buy my godkids and nieces clothes. I figure they get toys from everyone else. This year I FINALLY have a nephew to shop for and another nephew on the way.

I find that works best for me. The other good thing is if one of my kids gets invited to a birthday and being busy mom i don't have time to run out for a gift I likely have something in my box I can part with and replace.

I try to spend around the same amount per kid but I also try to get them the exact same number of gifts. This was kind of tough this year because I didn't realize how much I actually bought. I do most of my shopping on sale. Much cheaper with 4 kids and everyone else we have to buy for. I do have to say it is the last day of December and I have all my shopping done and most of it wrapped. I think this is the first year I have done that this fast.
