Children: Nichole | Re: Funeral Attendance | | it depends on the relationship they had with the person. Nichole has been to one, but she was a itty bitty baby. At this point (her being 2 1/2) if it was a close relative or friend, I would take her. If it was someone she didn't know, I might not |

Children: Jordyn (daughter) | Re: Funeral Attendance | | The only thing I can say is that it drives me crazy when kids are playing tag in the funeral home.
I think they should go when they kind of have an understanding of what's going on and they can behave properly there. I know it's not the kids fault and the parents should be more responsible. |

| Re: Funeral Attendance | | I have, and will take K at any age. The first was her Mother's. (she was 2+)
She was exeptionally cordial at all funerals so far, and I was always thanked for bringing her as she brought smiles to everyone's faces in their time of need. |

My children have always been very well behaved at funerals, but if they weren't, I would have to reconsider. |

Children: Son-8 yrs old, 2 Daughters- 7 and 4 yrs old | Re: Funeral Attendance | | I don't know, I don't go to funerals. I think if it were someone really close to my child I would have to reconsider. When my g-ma died I was about 13 and we went to the funeral and it was the hardest thing I had done to that point. I have never willingly gone to an open casket, I can't do it. I won't do that to my kids.

Children: Brian, 22; Adrienne, 18: Amy, 15 | Re: Funeral Attendance | | It depends on the child, and the relationship they had with the deceased. I didn't go to my first funeral until I was in fifth grade. My youngest dd went when she was just a few weeks into first grade...but only to the viewing, and only for a few moments to say goodbye. She is now almost 16 and has still never been to an actual funeral.
