| Should parents be allowed to bring children to bars? | | There is a pub in NY City that was forced to put signs on their windows banning anyone under 21 from entering the bar after parents began bringing their children to the pub.
Some parents are complaining about it. Parents banned from brining children to a pub
Should parents be allowed to bring children to bars?

Children: 4 Year Old Daughter | Re: Should parents be allowed to bring children to bars? | | Around here, children are not allowed in bars... no one under 21.
I just don't feel that a bar is a place for a child. I've encountered behavior in bars that was offensive to adults much less what a child should be exposed to.

Also, don't forget that bars are usually full of patrons who smoke. Second hand smoke isn't healthy, especially for kids.
In my state anyone under 21 isn't even allowed in liquor stores. |

I personally would not bring my children in one unless it's a noon lunch. I do not have my children around cig smoke or drinkers if possible. However..........when I was younger I was let in to any bar I wanted and allowed to drink. 20 yrs old of course, not too young. |

(I did a lot of break dancing back then... shhhhh don't tell!) But that was the law back then, children may enter as long as they are with their parents.

I always remembered getting Shirley Temples. I saw others drink and didn't think anything of it. I don't think it was like it is now. Maybe that's why I love listening to bands in bars? |
